Setup/Operator

Do you have expereince in composite materials? Can you set up, operate and maintain production machinery?

Masis Staffing is seeking Setup Operator to work in the Rochester,NH area. This is a 2nd shift Full-time position with standard shifts; overtime or weekend work may be required based on production needs. Training will be on 1st shift for about 4 weeks:

Responsibilities of a Setup Operator:

• Prepare machines for production by installing and adjusting tools, dies, and fixtures according to specifications.
• Make difficult setups consisting of indicating, leveling, clamping and blocking. Determine pickup points, set stops and controls, and check tooling.
• Operate machinery to produce parts in accordance with work orders, blueprints, and quality standards.
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain proper operation.
• Perform regular inspections of parts during production to ensure they meet quality and dimensional specifications.
• Identify and correct defects or deviations, and report quality concerns appropriately.
• Complete and maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical or operational issues; escalate significant problems to maintenance or supervisors.
• Ensure tools and equipment are in good working condition and report damaged or worn tools.
• Report mechanical issues to maintenance using the proper platform.

Knowledge and Experience of Setup Operator:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
• Previous experience operating and setting up manufacturing machinery preferred.
• Familiarity with plastics, composites, or a similar manufacturing environment is an advantage.

• Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Capability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds as needed with proper lift techniques.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.

$19 - $24/hr Based on Experience
