Masis Staffing Solutions is assisting our manufacturing client in searching for a Plant Manager in Leominster MA. This role provides strategic and hands-on leadership for all plant operations, including production, safety, quality, maintenance, and workforce management. Responsible for driving operational excellence, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring all objectives are achieved safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operations & Production
- Plan and direct production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) goals
- Manage plant budgets and drive cost-control initiatives
- Oversee production scheduling, inventory levels, and reporting accuracy
- Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, SMED, OEE improvements)
- Drive process, equipment, and CAPEX improvements
Leadership & Workforce Development
- Build and maintain a positive, accountable, team-based culture
- Hire, train, and develop supervisors and cross-functional teams
- Ensure strong communication across operations, quality, maintenance, and inventory
- Support off-shift operations as needed to ensure production continuity
Safety & Compliance
- Lead plant-wide safety programs and ensure compliance with all company, local, state, and federal regulations
- Champion a proactive safety culture through training, audits, and continuous improvement
- Partner with HR/EHS on incident investigations and corrective actions
Experience and Educational Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Plant Manager, Production Manager, or senior manufacturing leader
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, KPIs, and continuous improvement
- Experience with ERP/MRP/MES systems (NetSuite, SAP, BEAS/BEAR, or similar)
- Lean Manufacturing experience required; Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish required (French a plus)
Compensation & Benefits
- $130,000 – $150,000 base salary, based on experience
