Production Line Lead 3rd shift

Sunday to Thursday  

11pm - 7 am

$21.25 per hour

Location : Whitestown Indiana

Line Lead oversees the daily operation of high-speed vertical form-fill-seal baggers, multi-head weighers, metal detectors, and automated case-packers. They coordinate line staff, track output metrics, and ensure food safety and quality standards are met

Team Leadership: Assign station duties to packagers, case-packers, and palletizers, providing real-time coaching and support.
Troubleshooting: Perform first-line mechanical and touch-screen adjustments on automated packing equipment to clear jams, fix film tracking issues, or recalibrate scales.
Quality & Food Safety (GMP): Conduct regular checks for seal integrity, weight accuracy, date-code legibility, and metal detector verification logs in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices.
Production Tracking: Monitor hourly output against schedule targets on floor whiteboards or digital systems, logging downtime reasons and waste metrics.
Training & Safety: Train new operators and line workers on safe machine operation, lockout/tagout (LOTO) basics, and 5S workplace organization standards.

Qualifications & Skills

Experience: 1–3 years of experience operating or leading packaging lines in the food or snack industry.
Certifications: High School Diploma or GED required; HACCP, GMP, or Forklift/Pallet Jack certification is a plus.
English speaker, Spanish is a plus
Key Requirements:
Previous team lead or leadership experience (required).
Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and reliability.
Ability to take responsibility and effectively lead a production team.
