Primary Purpose
The WMS Super User / Warehouse Lead will support the implementation, transition, and daily use of the company’s new Warehouse Management System while also performing key warehouse operational duties. This position serves as a bridge between warehouse operations and system execution, ensuring that receiving, picking, staging, loading, inventory movement, and related warehouse processes are accurately performed in the WMS.
This role requires strong computer skills, prior WMS experience, bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish, forklift operation experience, and the ability to train, guide, and support warehouse team members during the system transition and ongoing daily use.
Essential Functions
WMS / Systems Responsibilities
- Serve as a warehouse “super user” for the new WMS during implementation, transition, training, and daily operations.
- Learn, understand, and execute WMS procedures related to receiving, inventory movement, order picking, staging, loading, and shipping.
- Train warehouse employees on proper WMS processes, scanner usage, data entry, and system-related workflows.
- Support team members with WMS questions and troubleshoot basic system or process issues.
- Ensure warehouse transactions are completed accurately and in a timely manner within the system.
- Identify and communicate system issues, process gaps, training needs, or operational challenges to management.
- Help reinforce consistency and accountability in the use of the WMS across the warehouse team.
- Assist with testing, validating, and improving new workflows during the WMS integration process.
- Work closely with warehouse supervisors, operations, inventory, and other departments to ensure accurate system use and smooth operational flow.
Supervisory / Leadership Responsibilities
- Assist with training warehouse employees on WMS procedures and operational best practices.
- Provide day-to-day guidance to warehouse team members during the WMS transition and integration.
- Help ensure team members are following proper procedures for receiving, picking, loading, inventory handling, and system use.
- Communicate performance, training, or compliance concerns to warehouse leadership.
- Support a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.
- Help drive consistency and adoption of new processes during the implementation of the WMS.
Warehouse Operations Responsibilities
- Assist in the shipment and receipt of highly perishable, specialty produce items in a refrigerated warehouse environment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse.
- Follow proper pulling, picking, staging, and order stacking procedures.
- Ensure proper product rotation and communicate any inventory or quality concerns to Inventory Control or management.
- Follow and reinforce proper receiving procedures.
- Check and record product temperatures upon receipt and prior to unloading, as required.
- Ensure loading procedures are followed and loading times are accurately maintained.
- Properly interpret and complete pick tickets, including all required initials, signatures, and documentation.
- Operate a forklift safely and in compliance with company procedures.
- Support warehouse team members by providing direction, guidance, and follow-up during daily operations.
- Lead by example by following all safety protocols, warehouse procedures, and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of warehouse, logistics, supply chain, or distribution experience required.
- Prior experience using a Warehouse Management System required.
- Experience in a refrigerated, food, produce, or perishable goods environment strongly preferred.
- Produce experience preferred but not required.
- Forklift experience required; forklift certification preferred.
- Strong computer skills required, including ability to use scanners, tablets, basic system functions, email, and data entry tools.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required.
- Prior experience training, guiding, or leading warehouse employees preferred.
- Must be detail-oriented with strong time-management and follow-up skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with changing priorities and short deadlines.

- Ability to train and explain processes clearly to employees with different levels of system knowledge.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with inventory, orders, and system transactions.
