Sponsorship Sales Specialist

About the Company

Our Worcester area client is looking for a motivated sales professional to help grow their presence throughout Central Massachusetts by building relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community partners.

About the Role

This role will focus on two main areas: developing new corporate sponsorship opportunities and selling group ticket packages, company outings, and other company experiences.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop relationships with businesses throughout Worcester and Central Massachusetts.
• Sell corporate sponsorship packages, advertising opportunities, promotional partnerships, and other customized marketing programs.
• Sell group ticket packages, company outings, employee events, client entertainment packages, and other group experiences.
• Identify new sales opportunities through phone calls, email outreach, networking, referrals, and in-person meetings.
• Meet with prospective sponsors and group customers to understand their goals and recommend appropriate packages.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing corporate partners and customers.
• Develop customized proposals and presentations for prospective clients.
• Work with the client to coordinate sponsorship fulfillment, promotions, group events, and game-day experiences.
• Represent the organization at networking events, community events, games, and other local functions.
• Maintain accurate records of prospects, conversations, proposals, and sales activity.
• Consistently work toward individual and team revenue goals.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in sales, business development, account management, sponsorship sales, ticket sales, advertising sales, event sales, or a related field.

Required Skills

• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Comfortable prospecting and reaching out to new businesses.
• Ability to manage a sales pipeline from initial contact through close.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working toward revenue goals.
• Strong knowledge of or connection to the Worcester/Central Massachusetts business community is a plus.
