Injection Molding Set-Up Technician - 3rd Shift

Location: Niwot, CO
Pay: $21.86-$40.00/hour $2.00/hour shift differential
Shift: 10:30 PM-7:00 AM
Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Our client, an employee-owned plastic injection molding manufacturer, is hiring an experienced Set-Up Technician for its overnight team in Niwot.

This is a hands-on position in a low-volume, high-mix molding environment where technicians perform mold changes, prepare machines for production, troubleshoot setup issues, and support consistent part quality.

What You'll Do

• Set up plastic injection molding machines for production.

• Perform mold changes, including installation, alignment, and connections.

• Connect molds and auxiliary equipment.

• Conduct test runs and verify proper machine and mold operation.

• Troubleshoot equipment, mold, and basic process issues.

• Clean, lubricate, and inspect molds and machinery.

• Monitor molded parts for defects and quality concerns.

• Make appropriate setup adjustments and work with Process/Engineering on more advanced process issues.

• Document machine settings, adjustments, and maintenance activity.

What We're Looking For

• Previous plastic injection molding Set-Up Technician experience or closely related molding experience.

• Hands-on experience performing mold changes and machine setups.

• Strong knowledge of injection molding machines, molds, and auxiliary equipment.

• Mechanical troubleshooting ability.

• Ability to identify and respond to common molding and setup problems.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Pay Based on Experience

• Entry Level: $21.86-$24.00/hour

• Mid Level: $25.00-$31.00/hour

• Experienced Level: $31.00-$40.00/hour

• Plus $2.00/hour 3rd-shift differential

Additional Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Must meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements.
