Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Project Manufacturing Engineer with a strong background in a dynamic, entrepreneurial manufacturing environment. This role will support quoting efforts, utilize CAM tools, drive process improvements, and assist in implementing next-generation equipment and technologies to support modernization and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support quoting and costing for machined parts, including time studies and material estimates
- BOM's
- Routing
- Implementation of new project processes
- Create and update CNC machining programs using CAM software (e.g., Esprit, Autodesk)
- Design tooling and fixtures; recommend cutting tools to enhance machining performance
- Write inspection programs and support both manual and automated inspection processes
- Collaborate with operators to improve setups and reduce cycle times
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement new manufacturing equipment and software
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency and quality
Qualifications and Skills:
- 3–5 years of manufacturing engineering and projects experience in a machining-focused manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (Esprit or Autodesk preferred)
- Deep understanding of blueprints, GD&T, and aerospace machining specifications
- Experience with quoting and job costing for custom-machined parts
- Proven ability to introduce and integrate new technologies and equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving capabilities
- ERP experience (JobBOSS or similar) is a plus
