What are the responsibilities and job description for the Power Plant Manager position at Masis Professional Group?
We are seeking an experienced Power Plant Manager to oversee the operation and maintenance of its power plant at one of our education clients, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with state and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor boilers, generators, and related systems for optimal efficiency.
- Manage maintenance, repairs, and vendor coordination.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements.
- Supervise utility plant operators and maintain accurate operational records.
- On-call availability, including evenings/weekends.
Required:
- Current Massachusetts Second Class or higher Stationary Engineers License (non-negotiable).
- 3–5 years in steam plant engineering, with at least 3 years as an operating engineer.
- Supervisory experience.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience with energy management systems and multi-shift operations.
