We're seeking an experienced a Chemical Production Technician to join a world-class pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a company known for its stability, cutting-edge manufacturing, and exceptional employee benefits!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow all operating procedures, rules, and instructions to ensure safe work practices; maintain full understanding of all relevant procedures.
• Participate in 5S and SFTI initiatives within the Manufacturing department.
• Maintain an audit-ready manufacturing area and control systems, ensuring documentation is current and the environment is clean and organized.
• Report personal injuries, near misses, and accidents—regardless of severity—to the supervisor and in WSO.
• Perform all work in compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in accordance with 21 CFR 210 & 211.

Operations and Equipment Management

• Operate reactors, distillation columns, filters, and molecular sieves.
• Read meters, gauges, and automatic recording devices at prescribed intervals to verify operating conditions.
• Operate and control electric motors, pumps, and valves to regulate chemical flow.
• Handle highly hazardous chemicals in drums, totes, trucks, cylinders, or bulk tanks.
• Adjust manual controls or override automatic controls (as directed) to maintain proper operating ranges, switch to backup systems, or shut down equipment.
• Visually inspect equipment periodically to identify malfunctions, repair needs, adjustments, or lubrication requirements.
• Adjust the pH of discharged water as required.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience working as a Chemical Production or similar equipment operator job.
• Strong mechanical skills such as troubleshooting and minor repairs.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience working with Highly Hazardous Chemicals (HHCs).preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating procedures, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence clearly and accurately.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with SAP is highly preferred.
Basic math skills required.
