We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our service team. The technician will utilize advanced diagnostic tools, schematics, and hand and power tools to ensure vehicles are operating safely and efficiently. A background in dealership service, automotive electrical systems, transmissions, powertrain, and alignment is highly desirable. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately
- Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems including powertrain, electrical systems, transmissions, and diesel engines
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex problems
- Repair or replace components using hand tools and power tools with precision
- Perform vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and alignments
- Conduct ADAS calibrations and ensure vehicle safety features are functioning correctly
- Diagnose and repair automotive electrical systems including wiring, sensors, and modules
- Maintain detailed service records and document all repairs performed
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and recommending necessary services
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic, preferably in a dealership environment
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and diesel engine repair
- Experience with ADAS systems calibration and alignment procedures is preferred
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals effectively
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto estimating software is advantageous
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures across various makes including GM vehicles
- Service technician experience with a focus on automotive repair and diagnostics
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills to communicate in english effectively with clients and suppliers about repairs needed
- Certification from an accredited automotive program or ASE certification is a plus
- This role requires a motivated individual committed to quality workmanship and continuous learning in the automotive industry.
