What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanic position at Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation?
Under the supervision of the Chief Mechanic, the incumbent performs work associated with the maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment from small gas engines such as snow blowers to diesel trucks including heavy-duty construction machinery such as bulldozers, pay loaders, fork lifts, and trailers. High school diploma or the equivalent plus five years of related experience, that includes brake maintenance. Must be a Certified Mechanic including appropriate certification in brake maintenance or willing to become certified within one year. Must maintain a valid driver's license; must provide a yearly DMV Certified Driving History. Mandatory 24 hour on-call snow removal duty from November 1 to April 1.
