What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Asst I position at Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation?
Under the direction of the Executive Director, the incumbent performs varied confidential administrative duties. Types and transcribes reports and documents and independently composes responses to routine correspondence. Compiles reports requiring moderately complex data gathering and research initiatives. Answers phones, gives information to callers and directs calls. Sorts and delivers mail. Send registered letters. Files, photo copies, and performs general office duties such as ordering office supplies, maintaining office equipment, scheduling appointments, arranging furniture and office moves, placing facilities repair calls, etc. Maintains departmental database files. Assists the department Director with special programs/events. Monitors Fax2mail for claims, Dental, UB, HCFA for FedEx DocuStream submission, HWW/OI individual file updates and PHIA notifications creating an historical receipt trail. Handles work from home submissions to be processed and assists with Cobra, including proof of mail notification with Postmaster for Federal Audit, processing and mailing letters, and Flex processing. Manages the Dental Data Base for new providers and removal of providers. Tracks in office/work from home attendance and updates Shared Calendar status. Maintains W-9 status for new/old providers to assist the Claims Director. Produce temporary benefit letters. Assists the Claims Department with the Appeals Notification Process. Maintains returned mail/checks along with tracking chart status to remail to an updated address. Document via scan all checks received daily into Monday.com with notice to recipient. High school diploma or the equivalent (GED) required, four (4) plus years of related work experience is a plus. Must demonstrate a proficiency in using Microsoft Office software specifically in Word, Excel, and Outlook applications in a network windows environment. Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy and handle confidential and sensitive matters is essential. A valid motor vehicle driver’s license is required.
