Shift: Days, NO weekends, NO holidays

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated, full-time RN who enjoy working in a team-orientated, laid-back, unique atmosphere at our Mashkawisen Treatment facility.
No invasive medical procedures,
No mandated overtime,
No weekends or holidays!
This is an uncommon opportunity to be part of a culturally specific chemical dependency program serving the American Indigenous population.
Daily tasks include, but are not limited to, educating clients on medical ailments and mental health diagnosis, medication administration, intakes, and case management. Available shifts are days, Monday-Friday. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply!
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet with new clients upon arrival at the facility; conduct medical and drug use history. Provide initial evaluation and consult with DON with any concerns.
- Admissions: complete necessary forms for intake and admission MARs, consents, and UAs.
- Prepare and present lectures on medical aspects of substance use and conduct groups.
- Observe, evaluate, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients; administer medications, assist in the treatment process, and maintain a physical and emotional environment that promotes recovery.
- Determines need for medications, treatments, or more intense medical-psycho-social attention in consultation with physician.
- Schedule medical and mental health appointments for after discharge for continuum of care.
Qualifications:
- Must be a Registered Nurse and experience working with substance use disorders is preferable.
- Must keep nursing license current by obtaining proper workshop hours.
- Have good oral and written skills and basic computer knowledge.
- Must be able to follow orders precisely and to use good judgment in emergencies.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Must be free from problematic substance use for at least 2 years.
