Role Description This is a full-time, on-site System Administrator role based in Lexington, KY. The System Administrator will manage and maintain servers, workstations, and core infrastructure for multiple clients, ensuring stable and secure operations. Daily responsibilities include monitoring system performance, applying patches and updates, administering user accounts and permissions, and managing backups and disaster recovery solutions. The role involves responding to support tickets, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues, and escalating complex incidents when necessary. The System Administrator will also help implement new technologies, document configurations and procedures, and collaborate with the team to improve processes and service quality.
Qualifications
- Strong System Administration skills, including managing servers, operating systems, and user access
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Technical Support across desktops, servers, and common business applications
- Experience with Network Administration and Information Technology fundamentals, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, and VPNs
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra, and other cloud services is highly beneficial
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, patch management, and backup/recovery strategies
- Effective communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time independently, and work collaboratively in a team environment
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Network , Security , Microsoft, or similar) or equivalent hands-on experience
