Senior Financial Reporting Analyst

At Masco Corporation, we provide an outstanding role for a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst to become part of our team in Livonia, MI! As a key contributor within our finance department, you will assist in compiling various financial statements, including quarterly 10-Q, annual 10-K, and defined-benefit and defined-contribution financial documents. Reporting directly to the Manager of Financial Reporting, you will also be involved in projects and analyses that advance our company's success.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Work in close partnership with the Supervisor and Manager of Financial Reporting to guarantee adherence to company policies, US GAAP, and SEC requirements
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly 10-Qs, annual 10-Ks, and related analyses
• Prepare annual financial statements for defined-benefit and defined-contribution plans
• Work directly with internal and external auditors to provide necessary analysis and audit documentation
• Support both international and domestic locations on accounting and reporting issues
• Assist with complex U.S. GAAP areas, including employee benefits
• Handle daily and monthly General Ledger responsibilities
• Engage in special projects, including lean process improvements and HFM enhancements, along with ad hoc analysis and reporting
• Support implementation plans addressing new accounting developments
  
  

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• BS/BA in Accounting and/or Finance, or equivalent experience
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) highly preferred
• 4 years of relevant work experience in accounting/finance
• Strong analytical skills with high competence in U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills
• Demonstrates professional excellence characterized by effective decision-making and a drive for results
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Self-starter with a keen attention to detail
• Effective great teammate with a proven ability to handle confidential information and interact with senior financial management
