Job Title: Homemaker Housekeeper
POSITION SCOPE:
Must have training in human development, interpersonal relationships, nutrition, food storage, use of equipment, use of supplies, planning and organizing of household tasks, and principles of cleanliness and safety.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Reach with hands and arms, active for long periods, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, Stretch, twist, lift and/or carry 25 pounds using proper body mechanics
PERFORMANCE, DUTES, ABILITIES AND STANDARDS:
The Homemaker will be responsible for the following: EACH SERVICES HAS ITS OWN REQUIREMENT AND DUTIES; THE AGENCY WILL INFORM SPECIFIC DUTIES WHEN ASSIGN AN INDIVIDUAL FOR SERVICES.
Maintaining the home in an optimum state of cleanliness and safety depends on family/client resources.
Performing the functions generally undertaken by the customary Homemaker, including such duties as:
Clean Entire House: Clean dusty furniture/windows/blinds, clean balcony furniture, vacuum, sweep, mop floors, laundry wash/dry/fold,
Remove garbage and dust ceiling fans only using a “fan duster.” No climbing,
Bathroom, clean bathtub, shower, sinks, floor, empty waste basket, and put clean towels
Kitchen, Clean counter tops, cabinets, appliances, refrigerator, stove, microwave, sweep and mop floors
Bedroom, dust bed headboard, dust under bed, dust closet door, and change sheets
Must report to the appropriate supervisor (designated by the Agency) any incidents or problems related to her work or the family.
Report any unusual incidents or changes in the client's behavior to the case manager.
The Homemaker, while at work, will maintain appropriate work records.
Homemakers shall not perform any hands-on personal care services and are restricted/limited activities within the scope of services.
