Marzoli International is seeking a full time Purchasing Manager to support our direct sales and technical team by managing the demand-driven spare parts needs of our spinning mill customers across North America.
SUMMARY:
The Purchasing Manager is responsible for evaluating spare parts inventory and placing orders with our suppliers. This role works closely with the Accounting, Warehouse, and Technical Service departments. Training will be provided as needed to support success in the position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Previous experience in purchasing helpful but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Experience with inventory management software helpful
- Detail-oriented
- Experience with data entry and analysis
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supplier Communication
• Prepare purchase orders for spare parts
• Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times and backorders of spare parts
Inventory Management
• Enter receipts of spare parts orders into the ERP system
• Maintain all data related to inventory
• Track fulfillment and delivery status of spare parts
• Maintain oversight of inventory levels
• Review and maintain reorder points (ROPs)
• Coordinate physical inventory
Sales & Quotation Support
• Assist with preparing sales quotations for special projects
• Monitor, calculate and update sales pricing of all parts in ERP system
At any time, other duties may be assigned.
WORKING HOURS, COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Standard operating hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00PM
- Starting salary $42,000 - $52,000 depending on experience
- 401(k) retirement plan
