Teacher - Interventionist
Job Title: Middle School Reading Teacher-Interventionist (Full-time)

Summary
The Middle School Reading Interventionist will provide targeted, evidence-based, small-group literacy instruction to students reading below grade level, focusing on grades 5-8, to close achievement gaps, and support grade-level reading programs. Key duties include analyzing assessment data, implementing research-based interventions, progress monitoring, recording state documentation for Reading Success Plans, and collaborating with teachers for RTI requiring a valid Missouri teaching certificate. This position will be fifteen-twenty hours weekly.

- Collaborate with administration and classroom teachers to align interventions with core instruction and support student achievement.
- Administer diagnostic and progress-monitoring assessments to identify students requiring additional support and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Collect, analyze, and maintain comprehensive reading data to identify students’ strengths, areas of need, and targeted intervention goals.
- Identify students performing at or below grade level and determine appropriate, skill-based intervention strategies.
- Provide targeted reading interventions focused on phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and

Qualifications
Education - Bachelor’s Degree in Education
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations - Valid Missouri Middle School Language Arts certification.
Preferred two years of proven reading intervention or classroom experience and/or Master’s Degree in Reading.
