MHS Dance Varsity Assistant Coach
Start Date: August 2026
Pay Rate: $1300- $2500, experience dependent
The MHS dance team is seeking a dynamic, energetic, and positive varsity assistant coach. The desired qualities for the assistant coach will include:
- Experience with college level dance, preferred.
- Prior experience coaching high school level dance teams, preferred.
- Willingness to serve and build relationships with student athletes
- Ability to teach and refine a foundational skill set in student athletes; if needed, develop skill set on JV team towards future competition level
- Communicate clearly with all stakeholders in a variety of formats
- Provide positive praise with support to develop a positive team culture.
- Ability to work with others to develop a unified coaching staff
Duties will include:
- Working as a collaborative team member to develop and implement daily practice plans to meet the overall goals of the program.
- development of team building activities for fundraising ideas and implementation; logistics and organization of the Summer Dance Camp/Clinics each year
- community service organization and implementation
- Purchase and maintenance of team apparel
- attendance at all varsity football games
- Attendance at varsity Basketball games will be required on a rotational basis.
- Aid in planning pep rallies and school wide events involving the dance team.
- Attend all practices
- Attend coaching conferences with other staff
- Completing all coach trainings and requirements per TSSAA
FLSA: Exempt
Salary : $1,300 - $2,500
