Qualifications:
- A valid Tennessee Teacher’s Certificate with the appropriate endorsement.
- Related industry experience preferred
- 5 years of previous teaching experience preferred
- Examples of Qualifying areas/Occupations: electronic engineering, electronic recording, electronic concept design and creation, audio/video technology, sound board networking, sound board operations, audio/video/DVD networking, camera operators, film and video editors, broadcaster with production experience, studio production manager

Job Description:
Maryville High School is seeking a Tennessee-certified or certifiable CTE Audio Visual teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Prospective candidates must have the knowledge and ability to design and implement an effective, student-centered A/V program that prepares students to pursue careers and postsecondary learning in audio/visual production. Students in this program will apply knowledge and skills to create productions both independently and in teams. Students will use industry equipment and technology to complete all phases of the production process, including planning, coordinating, capturing, editing, and distributing production. Program emphasis will include policies and regulations, independent and collaborative productions, distribution of media, and the production of live events.
Job Expectations:
- Demonstrates mastery of related subject matter, instructional skills, and resource materials for course(s) taught.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with team members to develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate school curriculum and assessments
- Create and maintain a classroom climate that is conducive to the learning process
- Maintains current career-technical information for students, displays materials and demonstrates skills, techniques, processes.
- Support Live stream events for the high school, including sporting events, assemblies, and other major school events. Knowledge of NFHS is preferred.
- Notify and collaborate with parents to resolve student to student and student to teacher issues
- Willingness to sponsor student activities
- Perform duties assigned to all teachers by administrators
- Work with the administration to achieve district goals described within the Maryville City Schools Strategic Plan document
- Willingness to learn and implement technology in the classroom to create a blended instructional and learning environment
