JOB SUMMARY The Facilities Management Department is looking for a Temporary Housekeeping and Events Setup Worker for Custodial Services. Entry-level position includes facilities cleaning and events setup duties. Pick-up trash including weekends. Setup and breakdown of tables, chairs, and other equipment for events. Direct Supervisor Custodial Supervisor Status: Part time, hourly Division Facilities Target Weekly Hours 29 hours Location: Main Campus Benefits Eligibility Yes MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Cleaning of facilities and trash removal. Setup and breakdown of tables, chairs, and other equipment for events. Communicates with University management, customers, and staff to ensure needs are met and cleaning standards are achieved. Performs cleaning service requests and event setup requirements. Uses the required supplies and equipment made available to staff to meet quality cleaning standards. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Communicates effectively and respectfully with staff, customers, and the University community. Works under the direct supervision of the Custodial Supervisor. Physical condition adequate to perform job functions. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Non-shift hours, weekend, and holiday work may be required. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma preferred. Minimum of 2 years of related work experience Successful completion of background check upon employment.
