Job Description
Maryland Tree Experts is seeking an experienced Diesel Truck & Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our growing team. We are looking for a dependable, self-motivated mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain our fleet of diesel trucks, trailers, and tree service equipment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled services.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, engine, transmission, and brake systems.
- Repair and maintain chippers, bucket trucks, loaders, stump grinders, mini skid steers, and other tree service equipment.
- Complete DOT inspections and identify safety concerns.
- Weld and fabricate repairs when needed.
- Keep accurate maintenance and repair records.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- 3 years of diesel/heavy equipment mechanic experience preferred.
- Experience working on medium- and heavy-duty diesel trucks.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical issues efficiently.
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- CDL is a plus but not required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
- Must have your own basic hand tools.

Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- Occasional overtime and emergency repairs as needed.
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
