Small, established MSP in the Baltimore area seeking a reliable IT Support Technician to handle Tier 1 / Tier 1.5 helpdesk support, in-shop bench work, and limited, scheduled onsite visits.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role with clear scope and escalation paths. Most work is remote or in-shop. Onsite work is occasional and planned.

What You’ll Do

Helpdesk / Remote Support

  • Resolve Tier 1 and Tier 1.5 support tickets
  • Password resets and basic Microsoft 365 administration
  • Outlook and email troubleshooting
  • Endpoint performance issues
  • Printer and peripheral troubleshooting
  • User onboarding/offboarding tasks
  • Residential and small business remote support

Bench / In-Shop Work

  • Diagnose desktop and laptop issues
  • Replace SSDs, RAM, batteries, and other components
  • Perform OS reloads and system re-imaging
  • Data transfers and basic backups
  • Malware and virus cleanup
  • Prepare systems for client pickup
  • Laptop screen replacements
  • Laptop and desktop motherboard replacements

What You Will NOT Be Responsible For

  • Network design or architecture
  • Server builds or migrations
  • Security incident response
  • Client strategy or account ownership
  • After-hours or on-call work

Escalation paths are clearly defined.

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–3 years of IT support or helpdesk experience (MSP experience a plus)
  • Comfortable working tickets and following procedures
  • Hands-on hardware repair experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration basics
  • Reliable, calm, and task-oriented
  • Comfortable escalating issues rather than “figuring it out” alone

This is not a fast-track Tier 2 role. We’re looking for someone who does well with clear scope and predictable work.
