Job Description
This is a 1st shift position at our Hampstead, MD Plant:
The Material Handler sets up the various lanes with cartons and flats based off orders for the day. This is a continuous process all day, restocking the lanes and eliminating jams to keep the line running efficiently.
Work Schedule:
Days - Monday to Friday
Hours - 6:20 am to 3:00 pm or until orders are complete
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs changeover when changing from cartons to flats or styrofoam
- Maintains a clean floor area
- Watches for jams and corrects them
- Takes counts depending on how much of an order is remaining
- Changes dates when needed
- Performs computer tasks when needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have good organizational skills and the ability to handle distractions and manage multiple tasks at the same time
- Must have good communication skills
- Basic Computer and Math Skills
- Must be able to stand 8 hours at a time; reach, bend, and squat; push/pull constantly; and lift 30-60 pounds
