Primary/Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Director of Development and External Relations, the Development Coordinator will carry out the following:
Gift Processing, Donor Stewardship, and Research 40%
- Support gift processing through accurate data entry and timely receipting, including mailing acknowledgment and tax letters.
- Support recognition and acknowledgment efforts to retain donors and strengthen relationships, including creating handwritten note cards for new and recaptured donors and assisting with mailings.
- Assist with supporting individual donors seeking to make online donations.
- Assist in the preparation of reports related to donations and gifts as assigned.
- Assist with donor background research using internet-based resources.
- Provide support for fundraising related activities, including research, meeting preparations, confirmations and follow-up, document preparation, and activity tracking.
- Assist with monitoring social media platforms when needed.
- Assist with collecting content ideas for AACFB publications.
- Assist with the planning, design, and execution of AACFB events.
- Provide support, as needed, for large off-site food and funds drives, including post-event acknowledgment and stewardship.
- Compile event-related data as assigned.
- Assist with volunteer orientation on the front and back sorting lines, ensuring that large groups are supported within the warehouse environment.
- Assist with volunteer orientation and management at Mobile Pantry distributions as assigned.
- Assist with tours for select volunteer groups, including school groups interested in hosting a food drive.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Associate’s degree preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of 1 year of Development-related experience preferred.
- Experience with direct customer service required.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and experience with Google Suite, Zoom, and other virtual meeting platforms.
- Experience in DonorPerfect is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Constant Contact preferred.
- Spanish language proficiency preferred.
- Non-Exempt; Full-Time.
- Hourly Wage: $21.00 – $25.00 per hour ($43,680 - $52,000 annualized salary); pay commensurate with experience.

- Able to give and receive clear verbal and written instructions.
- Strong self-awareness along with receptiveness to constructive feedback. Openness to new ideas.
- Ability to work successfully in a team environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding donor records and information.
- Able to sit at a desk for up to 8 hours per day.
- Able to lift up to 35 lbs. and carry it from the warehouse across the parking lot.
- Able to lift and set up display materials (tents, tables, chairs).
- Ability to stand for events, functions, and fundraisers for several hours at a time.
- Must be punctual, dependable, and reliable - excellent attendance is crucial.
- Occasional evening and weekend work required.
- Criminal background check is required, and references/previous employment history will be validated.
