Seeds 4 Success is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Development Coordinator to support the organization’s fundraising efforts through effective grant research, writing, submission, and reporting. The Grant Manager will play a key role in helping S4S secure new funding and steward existing grants to ensure continued support for our programs and mission.

The Grant Manager will play a key role in helping S4S secure new funding and steward existing grants to ensure continued support for our programs and mission.
Key Responsibilities
Grant Writing & Submission –
- Research and identify new grant opportunities aligned with S4S's mission and goals.
- Write compelling letters of inquiry, grant proposals, and applications for foundation, corporate, and government funders.
- Manage and track all submission deadlines to ensure timely and complete applications.
- Maintain a comprehensive grants calendar, tracking application, reporting, and renewal deadlines.
- Collaborate with program staff to collect data and success stories for reporting.
- Prepare and submit timely and accurate grant reports.
- Support relationship-building with funders through thank you letters, updates, and funder meetings.
- Work with the Executive Director to develop funding strategies and align grant goals with program priorities.
- Maintain accurate grant records, including proposals, budgets, reports, and funder correspondence.
- Track funding outcomes and assist in program evaluation efforts as they relate to grant objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in grant writing and/or nonprofit fundraising
- Proven success in securing foundation, corporate, or government grants
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and basic database management
- Experience using a donor database or CRM (e.g., Salesforce, Candid)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
- Commitment to equity, youth development, and the mission and vision of Seeds 4 Success
- Knowledge of and connections within the philanthropic landscape of Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic region
- Understanding of issues impacting low-income communities and youth development programs
