What are the responsibilities and job description for the Locksmith Apprenticeship Program (2 Year) with benefits position at Maryland Locksmith?
This is a 2 Year Paid Apprenticeship Program designed to train you on the various areas of our business, Locksmithing, Access Control, CCTV Cameras, facility maintenance, and more. Over the course of 2 years you can expect to learn a lot about keys & Pinning, padlocks, Door hardware, & high security locks. For those who have an interest in specializing in a specific area and want to earn more. We can train you to work on safes, troubleshoot and install access control systems/camera systems, program keys and remotes, other automotive locksmith repairs, install doors and frames, grow into inside or outside sales roles, grow into management roles to lead teams.
We do offer benefits (paid time off and 401K with match), company van for service techs, and some of the basic tools.
Our goal is to train intelligent people with no or limited locksmith experience to be leaders in our industry, we offer hand on training and we attend national trainings in Florida, Las Vegas, etc. Our technicians can follow the path that best suits there goals from working retail store, run service calls, selling jobs, or contract work on site of some of our bigger clients.
We expect candidates to have a familiarity with various tools and be willing to learn (you must know what the difference between a Phillips screwdriver and a flat head screwdriver are). You must be able to show up on time and be drug free. (we do drug tests and background check) Crime and drugs are not acceptable!

Pay varies based on experience but the goal for this program is at the end of the 2 year apprenticeship to be making $50,000 bonus, top performers will make more. We offer an industry leading bonus plan with commission potential on top of the base pay. There is unlimited earning potential with uncapped bonus in this position we have some techs that make over $50 an hour after bonus but that is not something that happens overnight, it takes work ethic, experience, and knowledge.
