Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures, including blood sampling and diagnostic radiology support.
- Prepare patients for appointments by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and explaining procedures clearly to ensure comfort and understanding.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR management) accurately, documenting medical information, patient conditions, and treatment plans efficiently.
- Perform basic life support (BLS) and CPR when necessary, responding promptly to emergency situations to ensure patient safety.
- Support health education initiatives by providing patients with information about their conditions, treatments, and post-care instructions.
- Handle manual handling tasks such as moving patients safely and managing medical equipment with care.
- Communicate effectively with clients and patients to address questions, report patient conditions, and coordinate care seamlessly.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.
- Proven experience in acute care settings or clinic environments.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, nursing practices, and medical documentation standards.
- Experience with EMR/EHR (Ecw) systems for accurate record keeping and data management.
- Putting in the lab orders
- Excellent client communication skills with a focus on compassionate patient service.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety protocols.
