                                                                                                                                                 Project Services Manager

 

Maryland Energy Advisors (MDEA) is a rapidly growing energy management company that serves some of the area’s largest businesses, including real estate owners, restaurants, and manufacturers. We provide consulting services for utilities across the United States, and we are looking for a customer centric individual to join our team.

The Project Services Manager is responsible for managing energy projects on behalf of clients within our Commercial Solutions division. This role involves overseeing the execution of various energy initiatives, including energy benchmarking, retro-commissioning, solar projects, energy auditing, and energy data management. In addition to project management, the Project Services Manager will play a key role in customer success, ensuring client satisfaction and expanding the adoption of additional energy efficiency services.

This is a remote position with travel requirements for client meetings, site assessments, and internal team meetings.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

Project Management

 

  • Lead and manage energy projects from initiation to completion, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and clients to develop project timelines, scope, and objectives.
  • Track project performance and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate potential project risks to ensure smooth execution.
  • Maintain project documentation, reports, and records for internal and client use.

 

Customer Success & Business Growth

  • Act as the primary point of contact for existing energy efficiency clients.
  • Educate clients on additional energy efficiency services and drive adoption of new solutions.
  • Conduct regular client meetings to assess satisfaction, identify new opportunities, and address concerns.
  • Collaborate with sales and business development teams to expand service offerings within existing client accounts.

 

Site Assessments & Travel

 

  • Conduct on-site visits for energy audits, retro-commissioning assessments, and project evaluations.
  • Participate in client presentations and stakeholder meetings as needed.
  • Attend internal team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on company offerings and industry trends.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy Management, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5 years of experience in project management, energy efficiency, or a related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of energy efficiency solutions, including benchmarking, retro-commissioning, and renewable energy projects.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with a high level of organization.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to engage with clients effectively.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and data analysis platforms related to energy management.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification.
  • Familiarity with utility rebate programs, energy regulations, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and energy analytics platforms.
