Real Property Specialist I
The State Highway Administration’s (SHA) Office of Real Estate is currently recruiting for a career service, Real Property Specialist I, located in Baltimore City. This is an interview and hire position that is open to anyone who meets the minimum qualifications listed below.
This announcement may also be used for future vacancies throughout the state of Maryland for SHA.

Nature of Work:The main purpose of this position is to provide appraisal, right-of-way (R/W) acquisition, relocation assistance, property management and related administrative services for State Highway Administration’s capital program under the guidance of a higher-level Real Property Specialist. This includes, but is not limited to, reviewing and administering small procurement contracts, coordinating and processing requests for all land acquisition settlement checks and payments for State and Federal projects, processing vendor invoices for real property services and maintenance contracts; assist, advise, and support ORE staff with regards to small procurement procedures, regulations and documentation, and other administrative duties as assigned in support of the R/W program.

Qualifications
Education: Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: None.
Preferred Qualifications:
Notes:
1. Additional experience in professional or technical real estate work may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
2. U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as defined under the Minimum Qualifications may be substituted for the required education and experience on a year-for-year basis.
Licenses & Certifications
Candidate must possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the state of Maryland.
