What are the responsibilities and job description for the Orthodontic Assistant position at Maryland Dental Specialty Group?
Maryland Dental Specialty Group is a large, multi-specialty dental practice looking to bring on a new dental/orthodontic assistant.
Responsibilities:
- Supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment room, patient, instruments, and materials.
- Readies patient for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping patient
- Performs procedures in compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations
- Assembles instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to treatment area, positioning instruments for dentist’s access, suctioning, and passing instruments
- Educates patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions
- Documents dental care services by charting in patient records
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of dental assisting experience
- Ortho assisting license required in the state of MARYLAND
- Radiology License required in the state of MARYLAND
- High school diploma or equivalent
Schedule:
Our orthodontists work:
From 2-7 every other Thursday
2-7 every Friday
8-3 every Saturday
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
