What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist/TLA Lead position at Mary Rutan Health?
Job Summary -
Lead must coordinate work assignments, work schedules and activities for phlebotomy, registration, and technical lab assistant duties; perform test procedures as needed; maintain quality control of inventory supplies, maintain preventative maintenance program for point of care instruments; correlate continuing education activities; oversee orientation of new staff; attend scheduled meetings; and prepare reports as requested. The lead will assist in training for all health system locations where blood draws occur
Regulatory Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Phlebotomy certification is preferred, but not required.
- Prior work experience in a medical setting is preferred.
- A valid Ohio Drivers License with good driving record is required.
- Prior supervisory/managerial experience is preferred.
Language Skills
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Additional languages preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Skills
- Must complete simple laboratory tasks in all sections.
