What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host Home Provider position at Mary Lee Foundation?
Mary Lee Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing diverse services and housing to adults with various types of disabilities. We are looking for dedicated, honest, and responsible individuals to provide compassionate care and support to adults with developmental disabilities in your home and as a part of your family.
We are actively seeking Host Home Providers for a female client with intellectual disability.
Host Home Providers create a supportive, family-like environment, and supply all of the care needed for an adult in this program. Host Home Providers also assist with all activities of daily living 24 hours a day.
Pay: $9.00 - $11.00 per hour
WHAT IS THE PROCESS?
Individuals with a developmental disability are matched with Host Home Providers whom share the same interests and hobbies as the person seeking supports. The size of the home, all who live in the home (family size/kids/animals) and the location of the home are all influences on the match between the individual and the Host Home. If the candidate meets the necessary requirements and seems to be a good match we will run a background check, three year driving check, and Office of Inspector General checks. Successful candidates move on to the final stage where the individual supported and their guardian are offered meet and greets with the Host Home Candidate for assure good fit.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Driver license, car insurance and current registration
- Ability to pass a State/Federal background checks(all members in the home)
- Must live in Travis County
- Must have means of transportation (medical appointments, to and from day services/employment, preferred activities and personal needs shopping)
- Must be willing to receive training in medication administration, CPR/First Aid, and other specifics surrounding the individual's needs
- Computer/lap-top, printer, scanner and internet for daily documentations
- Completion of all required trainings
- Must have detailed verbal / written communication skills
- Must understand and comply with all agency and state policy and procedures
- Must be attend and participate in all meetings
- Must maintain a clean and orderly home
