Mary Johnson Children's Center (MJCC) is seeking a passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team. Whether your strengths and interests lie with infants, toddlers, or preschoolers, we strive to thoughtfully match educators with the age group where they can thrive.

What You'll Do
- Build nurturing, responsive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Observe, document, and extend children's learning through an emergent, play-based curriculum.
- Create engaging learning environments that inspire exploration, creativity, and collaboration.
- Partner with families through daily communication, conferences, and documentation of children's learning.
- Work collaboratively with your teaching team to reflect, plan, and support one another.
- Maintain a safe, healthy, and inclusive classroom while meeting licensing requirements.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and reflective supervision.
What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications
- Education and/or experience in early childhood education or a related field.
- Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practice.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A collaborative, reflective, and flexible approach to teaching.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to complete all required background checks and state-required trainings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschoolers.
- Familiarity with Reggio Emilia-inspired or emergent curriculum.
- Experience observing and documenting children's learning.
- A passion for lifelong learning and professional growth.

Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to actively engage with young children throughout the day, including standing, walking, sitting on the floor, kneeling, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working indoors and outdoors year-round.
