JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Director of Technology Service and Support, supports technical information solutions and provides technical information systems support to the school community. Resolves moderately complex technical problems and may provide functional direction to student employees.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Analyses and solves hardware/software issues on both PC and Macintosh platforms for students, faculty, and staff.
- Analyzes and resolves problems on computer applications and systems and provides a wide range of in-depth technical assistance to faculty and staff.
- Installs and updates software per licensing requirements.
- Provides individual and/or group instruction and training to students, faculty, and staff on computer technologies, as appropriate.
- Maintains a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems. Participates in professional development activities as appropriate.
- Provides general and in-depth technical guidance, assistance, and maintenance support to end users, as requested, on diverse software applications, operating systems, and hardware systems.
- Maintains a high standard of customer service in dealing with and responding to questions.
- Maintains applicable records including user lists, user accounts and security, and equipment inventory.
- Maintains classroom, auditorium, and meeting room audiovisual systems.
- Trains and supervises student employees, as appropriate.
- Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the school’s discretion.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

- Computer related associate or technical degree required. Technology certifications and bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including Macintosh and PC.
- Strong application support experience with Google Workspace & Microsoft Office.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Willingness to work additional hours during peak periods.
- Ability to prioritize and follow-up on multiple tasks and meet assigned deadlines.
- Ability to work independently or as a central figure on a multifunctional team.

OTHER INFORMATION
- A criminal history and background check is required and must be successfully completed.
- Generally, works in standard office conditions and climate.
- May work at a desk and computer for extended periods of time.
- Exposed to visual display terminal for prolonged periods.
- Dexterity and precision are required in the operation of a computer.
- Light physical activity. Work may involve lifting and transporting equipment across campus.
- Flexibility to include some evening and weekend work.
