Building Maintenance Worker:
We are looking for a professional Building Maintenance Worker to keep our 100 unit residential building safe and functional by performing repairs, maintenance, and inspections. The ideal candidate ensures that structures remain safe and operational.
Key duties include basic plumbing, electrical repairs, painting, HVAC filter changes, and carpentry using tools like wrenches, drills, and saws.
Key Responsibilities
- Preventative Maintenance: Inspecting buildings regularly to prevent breakdowns (e.g., checking lightbulbs, HVAC units).
- Minor Repairs: Fixing leaky faucets, broken doors, walls, and replacing electrical outlets or light switches.
- General Maintenance: Patching drywall, painting, repairing flooring, and assembling furniture.
- Grounds/Utility Care: Sometimes handles landscaping and snow removal.
- Janitorial: Common area vacuuming/mopping and some light cleaning duties.
- Inventory & Documentation: Ordering supplies and keeping logs of maintenance requests.
Skills and Requirements
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Basic to intermediate understanding of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Physical Ability: Capable of lifting 50–100 lbs and performing manual labor.
- Experience: A high school diploma is typical, with prior experience in trade work preferred.
- A valid Drivers License is highly preferred
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
