Job Title: Child Care Assistant – Split Shift

Hours: Monday–Friday
Morning Shift: 6:30 AM – 9:00 AM
Afternoon Shift: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Job Description:
We are looking for a dependable, caring, and energetic Child Care Assistant to join our daycare team. This split-shift position helps support our staff during our busiest morning and afternoon hours. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, creating a safe and positive environment, and helping with daily classroom routines.

Responsibilities:

• Greet children and families during morning drop-off
• Help supervise children during free play, meals, and daily activities
• Assist teachers with classroom setup and cleanup
• Support children with routines such as handwashing, bathroom breaks, and transitions
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
• Supervise children during afternoon activities and pick-up time
• Follow all daycare policies and state licensing regulations
• Communicate positively with children, staff, and families

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children preferred but not required
• Must be dependable, patient, and able to work well with others
• Ability to lift, bend, stand, and actively supervise children throughout the day
• Must pass required background checks
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
