Overview:
The Construction Manager will oversee the light commercial and residential teams, ensuring the successful execution of construction projects. This role involves dynamic problem-solving and providing continuous support to the teams. The Construction Manager will coordinate with the operations manager to organize incoming projects, monitor project progress, and analyze performance metrics. Project Managers (PMs) from each department will report directly to the Construction Manager. The Construction Manager will work closely with these PMs to optimize project organization and performance, developing strategies to resolve issues, improving project efficiency, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Core Responsibilities:
· – Manage and develop teams of Project Managers, Superintendents, and support roles. Assess workloads and assign projects to teams. Develop and implement communication plans.
· – Oversee the work of Superintendents and Project Managers, ensuring work is completed in alignment with company and client expectations. Monitor schedule and budget progress.
· – Conduct performance reviews for individuals and teams. Establish performance metrics.
· – Maintain master project schedule to account for all ongoing and upcoming projects.
· – Manage and allocate resources according to project needs, ensuring efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment. This includes distributing incoming projects to teams with an intentional approach to optimize team success and client satisfaction.
· - Develop strategic alignment with subcontractors and vendors to negotiate price points, find project leads, stay up to date on new means and methods, and receive on time delivery and performance. Conduct periodic reviews of accounts.
· - Establishe and oversee document control procedures, ensuring accurate, up-to-date, and compliant project documentation is distributed, tracked, and securely stored.
· – Develop and maintain department SOPs. Provide training and direction in the implementation of SOPs.
· – Assist in all aspects of project reviews including constructability, feasibility, pre-construction, post construction, budgets, schedules, contracts, change orders, submittals, RFIs, pay apps, and invoicing.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with Company personnel, as well as clients, Subcontractors, Design Teams, etc.
· Knowledge and understanding of State and Local Labor laws.
· Knowledge and understanding of Contract and Subcontract language.
· Effective use of time management; Ability to recognize and prioritize matters.
· Basic understanding and use of Construction Management Software
· Problem solving; Being able to recognize opportunities and adapt to meet department or project needs while maintaining alignment with the company’s mission, vision and values.
Preferred Education and Experience:
· 5 years experience of leadership / management role.
· 10 years experience in construction field

Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
