The Design Assistant will play a key role in assisting designers with various tasks, contributing to the success of our Design Build projects. This role requires a strong attention to detail, creative thinking, and the ability to thrive in a fast paced, collaborative environment.Responsibilities:
1. Materials Management: - Obtain quotes for materials and create purchase orders. - Maintain meticulous tracking and inventory of all materials used in projects.
2. Client Presentation and Materials Preparation: - Prepare presentation boards, drawings, and material samples for client meetings. - Assist in creating visually appealing and informative presentations.
3. Design Library and Vendor Management: - Organize and manage the design library, ensuring materials and samples are readily accessible. - Keep vendor information and resources up-to-date.
4. Support to Design Team: - Collaborate closely with Designers to provide overall design and administrative support. - Assist in various design-related tasks as required.
5. Showroom Supply Management:- Order & inventory showroom & office supplies.
**Requirements:**
Experience and Education: - 2 years of experience in Interior Design. - Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or related field.
Software Proficiency: - Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp is essential. - Experience with 2020 Design software and Lumion is a plus, but not required.
Collaborative Mindset: - A true team player who thrives in a creative and collaborative work environment. - Adaptability to changing priorities and tasks as projects evolve.
Organizational Skills: - Strong organizational and time management skills to meet project requirements and deadlines.
Design Knowledge: - Demonstrates a strong understanding of cabinetry construction, layout, and spatial design concepts.
