Marvin United Methodist Church – Martinez, GA
Part-Time | $50-$75 per Practice Session or Worship Service | 2-4 Hours per Week Plus Practice and Preparation
Marvin United Methodist Church is seeking a talented and dependable Accompanist to join our ministry team! This part-time role is ideal for someone with a passion for music, a heart for worship, and a desire to support the spiritual life of the church through musical leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accompany congregational singing during worship services.
- Provide musical accompaniment for choir rehearsals and performances
- Offer special music and piano solos during worship upon request
- Collaborate with the pastor and worship team to select appropriate music for services
- Assist with special events such as weddings, funerals, and seasonal concerts when available with schedule
- Help maintain the upkeep of musical instruments and equipment
Qualifications:
- Strong piano accompaniment skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with church staff, choir members, and volunteers
- Dependable, flexible, and organized
- Passion for worship and church music ministry
- Previous experience as an accompanist preferred
Details:
- Compensation: $50-75 per practice session or worship service
- Hours: 2-4 hours per week plus music practice and preparation
- Must be available weekly on Sundays from 10:00 am -12:30 pm
