What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Driver position at Marvin and Betty Danto Health Care Center?
Marvin and Betty Danto Health Care Center is seeking a dedicated Driver to use the facility van to transport patients and residents to appointments.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Maintain the safety and well-being of themselves, their passengers, and all other people on the road.
- Transport residents to appointments.
- Stay with residents at appointments.
- Make and modify appointments as needed.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspection of the vehicle.
- Fuel van as needed.
- Monitor vehicle for maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Our candidates will possess the ability to effectively communicate with patients and other staff.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma of General Education Degree (GED)
- 5 years’ experience as a licensed driver
- Minimum 25 years of age
- Ability to lift and guide wheelchair passengers onto the wheelchair lift and properly secure them.
- Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, and a physical lifting of 50 lbs.
