What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Assistant position at Marvel Dental?
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records
- Assist with dental lab work, including pouring and trimming models
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow
Requirements:
- Dental Assistant Certification or relevant experience
- Knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for creating dental prosthetics
- Familiarity with medical coding and Epic electronic health record system
- Proficiency in medical records management and documentation
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide compassionate patient care
- Ability to perform patient assessments and take vital signs
