Duties
- Prepare and serve deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and upselling additional items.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining a balanced cash register.
- Support the team by bussing tables and keeping the dining area tidy.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking supplies as needed.
- Follow food handling guidelines to ensure the safety and quality of all products.
Skills
- Experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards.
- Ability to perform retail math for accurate pricing and cash handling.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively assist customers and work as part of a team.
