Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Attorney to join our small downtown NYC firm. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive legal counsel, conduct research, draft legal documents, and represent clients in various legal proceedings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in medical malpractice and municipality defense, demonstrate excellent writing skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Ability to handle all phases of litigation, including drafting and responding to discovery notices.
- Draft clear, accurate, and persuasive legal documents including pleadings, briefs, motions and memoranda.
- Prepare detailed and concise reports to clients.
- Represent clients in hearings, depositions and in court proceedings.
- Manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining meticulous records of all legal activities and correspondence.
- Assist with trial preparation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop strategies for resolution of litigation cases and settlement negotiations that align with clients’ best interests.
Experience
Candidate must have strong writing and speaking skills, excellent analytical skills, proven ability to manage complex cases, experience in attending court conferences and motion practice in courts in New York City and surrounding counties.
- Exceptional writing skills with the ability to produce well-structured legal drafts that are clear and compelling.
- Legal administrative experience managing case files, court filings, deadlines, and client communications effectively.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
