Job Summary
Marubeni Citizen Cincom (MCC)—a global leader in precision CNC machine tools—is seeking a detail-oriented Corporate Accountant to support core accounting operations and financial reporting. This role is ideal for a professional experienced in general ledger accounting, fixed assets, and financial analysis, with SAGE Fixed Assets experience strongly preferred.
You will work cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and continuous process improvement in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Controller to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP / IFRS and accounting standards issued by the FASB and IASB
- Support compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements, including tax filings, notices, payments, and review of business tax returns
- Assist with the monthly financial close process, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions
- Prepare, analyze, and review financial statements and variance reports
- Ensure all reporting deadlines are met (weekly, mid-month, month-end, semi-annual, and annual)
- Preparing and posting journal entries
- Accruing expenses
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts
- Performing account analysis
- Collaborate with the Controller to prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
- Provide ongoing support and insight to the Controller on financial matters
- Assist with internal and external audits, including compiling and delivering required documentation
- Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures to ensure SOX and internal control compliance
- Partner with operations to analyze manufacturing cost variances
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by manager
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- CPA required
- Minimum of 3 to 7 years’ experience in taxation and financial reporting
- Demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
- Experience with ERP systems (such as SYSPRO and Avalara), including supporting system processes and internal controls; experience with SAGE Fixed Assets is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency Excel skills including Power Pivots, macros, and advanced formulas
- Experience in Audits, Reviews and Compilations is a plus
- Experience in Financial Statements and applicable notes preferred
- Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
