Duties
- Greet guests promptly with a warm, friendly attitude to make them feel valued from the moment they arrive
- Manage reservations and waitlists using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to ensure smooth seating flow
- Coordinate with the dining staff to optimize table assignments and minimize wait times
- Answer guest inquiries politely via phone and in person, providing information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies
- Maintain a clean, organized host stand and ensure all guest areas are welcoming and well-presented
- Handle guest concerns or special requests with professionalism, escalating issues when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction
- Support team members during busy periods by assisting with basic food service or guest relations tasks as needed
Skills
- Proven experience as a Host or Hostess in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including phone etiquette
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for reservation management
- Knowledge of food service operations and restaurant procedures
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Hospitality experience, including guest relations and serving, is highly desirable
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Previous hotel or guest services experience is a plus
