Martz Bus is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accounting Specialist to support financial operations across multiple business units. This role works directly with the Corporate Controller and plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting payroll operations, and ensuring compliance with tax and reporting requirements.
This is a hands-on position for someone who takes ownership of their work, thrives in a deadline-driven environment, and wants exposure to multiple areas of accounting in a stable, long-standing company.
What You’ll Do
- Support payroll processing,ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local requirements
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Process invoices and support accounts payable activities
- Prepare and support tax filings, including state sales tax and IFTA reporting
- Assist with financial reporting and ensure data accuracy
- Investigate discrepancies and resolve vendor or payment issues
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting efficiency
- Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate financial data across operations
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field — or relevant experience
- 5 years of accounting experience (payroll, AP, or financial reporting preferred)
- Strong Excel and financial systems experience
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
