Position Summary
Marty Wright Home Sales is seeking a driven, experienced and highly accountable General Manager to lead one of our retail sales centers.
The General Manager is responsible for the overall performance and profitability of the location. This includes leading the sales team, developing employees, creating traffic, managing the customer pipeline, maintaining store presentation and overseeing the operational details required to move customers successfully from their first visit through funding and completion.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who knows how to build a winning culture, hold a team accountable and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the sales center’s daily operations, sales performance and profitability
- Recruit, train, coach and develop a high-performing sales team
- Establish clear expectations and hold team members accountable for results
- Drive customer traffic through prospecting, follow-up, local marketing, social media and community involvement
- Monitor leads, appointments, applications, deposits, closings, fundings and gross profit
- Conduct regular pipeline reviews and ensure every prospect has a documented next step
- Coach sales associates on product knowledge, customer discovery, presentations, follow-up and closing
- Ensure customers receive accurate, transparent and timely information throughout the buying process
- Create an environment in which customers feel welcomed, respected, informed and confident
- Maintain professional model homes, offices, signage and overall sales-center appearance
- Coordinate with lenders, manufacturers, contractors, project managers and support departments
- Review pricing, contracts, deal structure and required documentation for accuracy
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate significant issues when necessary
- Manage expenses and protect the store’s profit margin
- Ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable laws and regulations
- Communicate consistently with executive leadership regarding performance, staffing, challenges and opportunities
- Lead by example through urgency, integrity, discipline and personal accountability

Qualifications
- Previous leadership or management experience in sales, retail, automotive, real estate, manufactured housing or a related industry
- Demonstrated ability to lead a commissioned or performance-driven sales team
- Strong understanding of sales pipelines, follow-up and closing
- Proven ability to manage revenue, gross profit and operating expenses
- Excellent communication, coaching and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable using CRM and project-management software
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage several customers, employees and projects simultaneously
- Willingness to work Saturdays and other hours required by retail operations
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Manufactured-housing experience is required
