Job Description
Martins Supermarkets is looking for a deli associate to join our team in Warsaw, IN. We are a small, family-owned business that has been in business for over 30 years. We have a great reputation for great customer service and are looking to bring on a new team member to help us grow!
Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet customers as they enter the store
- Prepare food for customers while maintaining cleanliness standards set by the restaurant
- Stock shelves with various items (e.g. condiments, meats, cheeses, etc.)
- Take orders from customers while providing excellent customer service
- Check out customers and place cash/credit card payments
- Assist with other deli operations as needed or requested (e.g. cross-selling, inventory control, etc.)
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge and work closely with store manager to improve upon sales and customer service
- Assist in other retail operations as needed or requested (e.g. cross-selling, cross-selling coupons, cross-selling rewards, etc.)
Competencies
- People oriented - Be friendly and helpful to others
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High school or college degree preferred but not required

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
