- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for order processing and cash handling
- Engage with customers warmly, providing outstanding service that encourages repeat visits
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and compliance
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without sacrificing quality
- Assist in basic food preparation tasks and restocking supplies as needed to keep the café running smoothly
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar food service role within the food industry
- Strong knowledge of POS systems, including Aloha POS and Micros POS platforms
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate transaction processing
- Familiarity with food safety standards, proper food handling, and serving techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independence when needed
